14 DAYS MUSTANG TREK

Trekking Fixed Departure Date: ( 11 May, 15 June, 13 July, 8 Aug,3 Sept)

Anothony Travis in the early 1900 travelled through Mustang and described it as the ultimate experience of being with Nature, 'solitude of wilderness'. Mr. Travis was so bewildered by the landscape and the natural beauties, he thought of Mustang as the 'Paradise' where he wanted to spend the rest of his life, the chinese traveller Hueing-in-Sang travelled through Mustang and described the area as the toughest terrain he had ever travelled through. The famous 'Silk Route' to Chaina in the early days passed through Mustang during the fifth century.

Mustang has been often called the 'Sangrila' where life passed unhindered. For the nature lover the trip to Mustang is the ultimate in nature trek. The trek is arduous and challenging. The terrain is for the daring and the fittest. It is a challenge in itself.

We have planned this 14 days trek with experienced guide and other amenities available to us. We look forward to guiding you through this land of 'Spirit', as the people living in Mustang consider it to be. In view of the fragile ecological conditions, we do not believe that 'mass-trekking' would be desirable for Mustang. Due to this fact the government had included Mustang under the 'restricted area' list until recently. In March 1992 the government has lifted the restriction on the travel ban to Mustang for a limited number of trekkers.
